Nicole Jensen
Counselor Summary
Hello! I’m Nicole!
MSW, LSW
Nicole is new to Bethlehem Counseling Associates, but not to creating a therapeutic space where you can feel valued, respected, and heard. No matter what is bringing you to therapy, Nicole wants her clients to feel safe and comfortable to come exactly as they are and share without fear of judgement.
Nicole’s approach to therapy centers on empowerment and helping clients get in touch with their unique strengths, values, wants, and joys. Years of navigating life’s challenges, negative self-talk, or compromising to meet others’ expectations can have us lose sight of who we truly are and what we really want, but Nicole believes it’s never too late for positive change. She wants to help you remember your potential to thrive and live your best and most authentic life.
Nicole’s therapeutic style combines reflection and emotional growth with action-oriented habit and behavior change. She draws from a rich ‘toolbox’ of formal education and training, personal experience, and over seven years working in different areas of behavioral health. Nicole has experience with a range of struggles including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, grief, shame, criminal justice involvement and complex interpersonal dynamics. Some of her favorite therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, and boundary setting, but feels that successful therapy is about finding what works best for you.
Nicole truly believes in the transformative power of therapy and looks forward to the opportunity to be part of your journey towards a happier and more fulfilling life.
