Jen Bleiler, MS, LPC
Counselor Summary
Hello! I’m Jen!
MS, LPC
Jen is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and has worked in a variety of settings including intensive residential treatment, community-based residential , and outpatient treatment. Jen graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and completed her Master’s Degree in Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. She has experience with a range of populations including children, adolescents, and adults with an array of presenting problems including: anxiety disorders, mood disorders, interpersonal conflict patterns, self harm, and trauma.
Jen appreciates the importance of delivering therapeutic approaches that are grounded in research-based evidence. Jen is passionate about the interconnectedness of physical and mental well-being and will guide patients’ attention to that correlation. She utilizes a variety of interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, self-monitoring, and interpersonal therapy to assist her clients in reaching their treatment goals. She understands that a trusting relationship between a client and their therapist is the greatest factor in treatment satisfaction.
Jen feels strongly about the power of setting goals and identifying/celebrating small achievements towards those goals. She finds it extremely rewarding to work with individuals who are committed to exploring the source of their problems, their own personal patterns that contribute to their challenges, and creative ways to address their issues. Clients who choose to work with Jen can expect to gain a greater sense of self-awareness, an in depth examination of thoughts and behavioral patterns that contribute to problems in their current/past relationships, and tools to cope with and/or alter undesirable emotions. Importantly, Jen hopes to deliver, to each of her clients, a sense of trustworthiness, a normalization of internal struggles, and a partnership in the journey to reaching their goals.
