Lauren Hahn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She attended Moravian College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. Upon entering, the education field, Lauren found her passion in listening and supporting students with their emotional needs. Lauren returned to school to obtain her master’s degree in Social Work. She graduated from Marywood University with a specialty in Families and Children. Since graduate school, Lauren has worked primarily with school-aged children and their families in several different settings, including in home services, an outpatient setting, and an acute partial hospitalization program. Since receiving her licensure, Lauren has attended numerous trainings focused on trauma and the effects it has on our neurobiology, along with the effectiveness of mindfulness for neuroplasticity. Lauren has a strong background working with individuals with trauma, anxiety, and depression. Lauren has also worked with individuals in controlling their impulses and anger.
Lauren believes in the humanistic model, where all individuals can grow and change. She feels self-determination is one of the utmost important factors in therapy, allowing the client to drive their own sessions. Lauren utilizes a myriad of approaches with her clients and enjoys hearing feedback from them on tools that they find helpful. Lauren is focused on treating individuals ages 14 and older in making positive changes to better their lives. She understands the importance of the therapeutic alliance between client and therapist and prides herself on her ability to build that with her clients.
