MaryAnne is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a specialty in trauma studies who has over 32 years of experience working in a variety of settings. In these capacities she has worked with individuals from a variety of age groups including children, adolescents, and adult populations. She has experience working with trauma survivors and sexual abuse victims as well as adult perpetrators.

MaryAnne views the therapeutic environment as a catharsis for change and works to assist individuals find healthy ways to regulate intense emotional states and develop responses that promote and facilitate positive change. MaryAnne embraces the importance of honoring each person’s unique story and using life experiences as an opportunity for growth.

Her therapeutic approach utilizes a wide array of techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, behavior modification, solution focused therapy, and strength based client-centered techniques.
