Julie Mackey is a licensed professional counselor (LPC). Julie was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley and after graduating from Freedom High School she went on to earn a Bachelors degree from Albright College, majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Women’s Studies. She then earned her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Children and Adolescent therapy from Chestnut Hill College.
Julie’s calm and gentle style enables her to work with people of all ages in a manner that draws upon their inherent strengths to overcome the challenges they face. Julie’s strong points are her non-threatening demeanor and easy-going manner that aid her in joining with all types of people, even those who may be initially resistant to therapy.
Julie is often described as being warm, accepting, and easy to talk to. Combining person-centered and cognitive-behavioral approaches, Julie works with people of all ages in a way that is empowering and accepting. She uses a strength-based approach to help people feel better as quickly and efficiently as possible.
