Dennis R. George, MS, LPC
Counselor Summary
Dennis George is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been in the mental health field since 1998. His career has had him working with victims of sexual abuse as well as sexual offenders. In his current practice Dennis enjoys helping survivors of sexual or physical abuse become empowered to take control of their lives.
Dennis is certified to do grief counseling with families from the Gift of Life Program. Through Gift of Life he works with the families of organ donors. He has also worked with the families of homicide victims through Crime Victims Council of Lehigh Valley. Working with these two groups, Dennis has enjoyed the opportunity to help individuals and families through this difficult time, and has included all forms of grief into his current practice.
Dennis also enjoys working with clients who suffer from anxiety in all its forms. He uses various techniques to help clients gain control of their lives and their fears. So much has changed in the world in the past twenty years that has made anxiety an all too common occurrence in individuals and families. Dennis is a calming influence and a partner in helping clients find a path of peacefulness in a demanding world.
The only thing constant in life is change and a favorite part of Dennis’s practice is to help clients through the many life transitions that we all face. This can be anything from marriage to divorce, from career advice to facing retirement, and from having children to burying parents.
Dennis has spent well over a decade at Bethlehem Counseling Associates and has been honored to get to know and to be be invited into the lives of so many clients.
