Counselor Summary

Caitlin Campanella is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. Caitlin’s interests include working with adults and young adults 14+ who are struggling with anxiety, depression, complex trauma/single incident trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, shame and guilt, LGBT issues, etc. Caitlin adapts her approach for each person, conceptualizing each case on an individual basis. She has an eclectic view of therapy, incorporating aspects of psychodynamic therapy, insight-oriented therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and client-centered techniques.

Caitlin enjoys building strong, trusting therapeutic relationships and providing a safe, non-judgmental environment for people looking to explore their emotions and struggles. Caitlin’s encouraging approach allows clients the opportunity to examine systemic patterns in their lives that are presenting challenges. She assists her clients by providing insight into negative patterns of thoughts, feelings, and actions in order to increase each individual’s emotional and behavioral awareness.

Caitlin graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Moravian College, and earned a Master of Science Degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College.

Caitlin has experience providing counseling in private practice and at the DeSales University Counseling Center. She especially enjoys working with the college population, helping individuals navigate through a challenging and transitional period in life. She has also provided outpatient counseling in community-based clinics, as well as intensive outpatient group counseling for substance abuse and mental health clients. She has served as an adjunct professor of psychology at Lehigh Carbon Community College. Caitlin is an associate member of the American Psychological Association.
